Merry Christmas Everyone!!!!

This is my first time using Live Writer so if there are little quirks here and there, it is because I am learning.

100_0977It’s about time I posted a few of my pictures.  I’m not totally done decorating yet, but I have made some progress.  This is the tree in my kitchen.  I just took and used cookie cutters for ornaments.  I have a lot of old cookie cutters and then a lot of brass ones. They don’t show up very well.

This is of the baker’s rack in my kitchen.  I left all of my pitchers up and added some of my pewter.  Please excuse the television but I didn’t know what to do with it.   100_0962Here is my mantel with some of my santas.  I have a large assortment of them and this doesn’t even scratch the surface with the number that I have.  Truthfully, I have too many.

100_0982The lights are not showing up, but I do have lights in the greenery.

100_0974These are just a few of my snowmen.  The one sitting in the chair looks like he has his nose up in  the air.    Once again, they are not showing up like they should.

I have some hand carved carolers that I put out every year.  The lady I bought these from no longer does crafting so I feel fortunate to have these.

I have a window hanging in my living room that looks real, but  it’s not.  I put a wreath on it, but after really looking at this picture, the wreath needs fluffing.100_0964 And last, but definitely not the least, is the most important of all, the Reason for the Season.  The birth of Christ our Lord and Savior.  Without him, we wouldn’t have Christmas.100_0973   While I was home for Thanksgiving, I got a coverlet for my king size bed.  I just love it.  My uncle had it and he and my aunt are getting rid of things and thinking of selling their home.  I bought this from him for a mere fraction of what it was worth.  100_0956

This is all for today.  Have a great weekend.
Merry Christmas Everyone.

Hi Maxine!
Everything thing looks so pretty! From the little tree in the crock to the fireplace mantle! Love all your touches on the baker rack-especially the pewter pieces! ;)
...that window looks real :)
I love those carolers too! Everything looks wonderful!!!
My Nativity is old...the manger is starting to fall apart now, and very little straw is left on it...i want to save it and give it Brad (for Ava) ...he always used to play/talk to the little pieces when he was little, so I wanted him to have it... I have been putting out my Joseph and Mary holding baby Jesus instead of the Nativity...it's all three of them carved out of one piece of wood and it's plays music...Oh Holy Night. I love it!
Your Coverlet looks beautiful! How wonderful it came from family!
I enjoyed my visit...and you did a wonderful job using LW!
Have a wonderful weekend, friend.

Those carolers look special indeed! I too have a few collections that have gotten out of hand as there is no way I am able to display everything so you are definately not alone there, ha!

The coverlet you got is beautiful!

I am going to try and finish up my decorating today and get some pics taken. Enjoy your weekend!

Merry Christmas!

Hi Maxine~
Everything looks wonderful! I am in agreement with all the others as those carolers are certainly special. How fortunate you are to have them now that they're not being made anymore. Hand crafts are the best!
The coverlet is beautiful and how special that it will be a family heirloom.
Merry Christmas to you too!
I've got lots of catching up to do on blog reading and posting. Time has blown right by me too.
Hugs to you~ Birgit

Maxine, everything looks great! We have so much in common. I too, have a cookie cutter tree in my kitchen. It's a lot smaller than your's but covered with cookie cutters. I have been collecting them for several years.
That coverlet is just awesome! And its so nice that its a family piece. It looks really nice on your bed. A wonderful treasure for sure!
I really enjoy seeing your photos and reading your posts. Your home is so comfy and cozy.
